Residents of Cranberry Portage

Even though the community has regained power, there are still more obstacles to overcome. The fire is coming down and around the East flank around the lake. Water bombers are still working on choking out the fire.

10 crews from Ontario are now in Cranberry fighting the fire with 30 fire fighters who volunteered to come up from around Manitoba, along with The Pas Fire Department & Opaskwayak Cree Nation Fire Department

The state of emergency remains in place, the evacuation order remains in place.

The provincial EMO (Emergency Management Organization) has now arrived in the area and will continue to give us updates on the situation. We will continue to forward information as it comes.
