The R.M. of Kelsey is seeking a Full Time Public Works Employee. Employment is to commence as soon as possible. Wages starting at $21.65/hour and $24.32/hour after one year as per CUPE Agreement.
Job Description:
- Work under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor or Chief Administrative Officer
- Clearing snow at RM buildings
- Maintaining green space throughout the RM including Valley View Trailer Park
- In charge of summer students
- Repairing and installing road signs
- Manual / Mechanical brushing
- Back-up Water Treatment Officer (or willing to take and complete required courses is mandatory)
- Surveying as required
- Animal control (Dogs, Beavers, etc.)
- Gravel checking
- Operating sanding truck, wheeled backhoe loader and grader
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications: You will have completed a minimum Grade 12 education (GED equivalency) and possess a valid drivers license. Your abilities should include being mechanically inclined, as well as possess strong work ethic and willingness to be a part of a team environment.
